On this page you will find the documents relating to Willington Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan for the period 2024 through 2040.

It is draft until it is agreed by SDDC and by referendum of the residents of Willington.

The main document that we advise everyone to read is the full "Pre-Submission Draft Neighborhood Plan" which has all the key information from all of the research documents. This will take about 30-minutes to read.

The other documents are the research that was conducted to build this plan.

Housing Needs Assessment looks at the demographics of Willington now and the future growth over the next 15 years. It analysis the population, the type of houses we currently have compared to the type of housing that we will require in the next 15 years.
The Housing Needs Assessment Addendum attempts to put a figure on the number of dwellings that Willington would be expected to accommodate over the next 15 years.

The Site Options report reviewed all of the sites that were put forward by landowners from the SDDC Call for Sites, as well as our own Call for Sites. Almost every field and spare land has been assessed for its viability (or not) for potential housing in the future. This report is used to explain why particular sites cannot be developed.

The Design Code analysis shows what makes Willington special and its unique characteristics. The report details what design code any future development needs to adhere to.
