About Us
We are a long-established club. Our actual origins are a little unclear as early records have been lost. We know the club was formed sometime between the first and second world wars. We also know that the green was closed during the second world war to grow potatoes to aid the war effort, reopening soon after the war finished.
Our members have the choice of playing competitive bowls or just playing a leisurely game with friends. Or if you wish, both. For those members who want to play competitive league bowling we have teams entered in two leagues, one playing on Monday afternoons and the other on Thursday afternoons.
You are never too young or too old to bowl. Our membership covers all age groups from Junior to Senior, Male and Female. Bowls really isn't an "Old Man's sport."
